In the recently finished match, Vietnam’s number one player Trần Quyết Chiến unexpectedly lost to his familiar rival Lee Beom-yeol (South Korea) in the round of 32 of the 2025 Carom 3-Cushion World Championship.

Trần Quyết Chiến was surprisingly defeated by an opponent he had previously beaten in the group stage.

During the group stage, the two players met in Group D where Quyết Chiến won 40-36 after 22 innings, finishing top of the group to advance to the knockout stage. However, their rematch on the evening of October 16 followed a completely different scenario.
