Duong Quoc Hoang continues to achieve victories at Reyes Cup 2025.
Reyes Cup 2025 took place from October 16-19 in Manila, Philippines, honoring the legend Efren Reyes. This year, Francisco "Django" Bustamante replaced Reyes as captain of Team Asia, leading Johann Chua, Carlo Biado, Aloysius Yapp, AJ Manas, and Duong Quoc Hoang. The World Team, led by Jeremy Jones, consisted of Fedor Gorst, Jayson Shaw, Moritz Neuhausen, Skylar Woodward, and Francisco Sanchez Ruiz.
On the first day, Team Asia had a perfect start, winning all four matches. Biado defeated Neuhausen 5-3, Yapp and AJ Manas beat Shaw and Ruiz 5-2. In the final doubles match, Quoc Hoang and Chua won 5-4 over Gorst and Woodward. On the third day, Team Asia continued their success with three more wins.
Reyes Cup 2025 follows a format similar to the Ryder Cup: the first team to reach 11 points wins the championship, each match won by 5 racks earns one point, players take turns, and doubles pairs cannot be repeated in matches.
Last year, Duong Quoc Hoang lifted the Reyes Cup for the first time after Team Asia defeated Team Europe. Now, in his second participation at the Reyes Cup, Duong Quoc Hoang faces another opportunity to claim this prestigious trophy.
