The 2026 HTV International 3-Cushion Carom Billiards Championship – Becamex IJC Cup is set to offer top-tier competition, featuring Vietnam's best cueists alongside many international invitees. Taking place from August 10 to 16 at HTV Theater (HCMC), the event is anticipated to be a standout billiards occasion this year.
A highlight of this year's tournament is the participation of Vietnam's finest current players, such as Bao Phuong Vinh (world No. 9), Tran Thanh Luc (world No. 12), and Tran Quyet Chien (world No. 17).

The organizing committee announced the tournament on the afternoon of July 7.
All three are seeded players and will have the chance to face international competitors right from the final round, promising exciting duels between the elite representatives ofVietnamese billiardsand the world's top players.

Vietnamese players gain additional opportunities to compete and gain experience on home soil.
According to the organizers, the list of international guests will be revealed in the coming period. Gathering many world-class players not only enhances the professional quality but also helpsVietnamese cueistsgain more chances to practice and accumulate experience ahead of major tournaments in 2026.

The event is organized by HTV in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports and the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation.
After 12 successful editions, this year's tournament has been elevated in both scale and quality, aiming to become a regular international playground for Vietnamese billiards.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Quang, Deputy General Director of HTV and Head of the Organizing Committee, stated that the event not only contributes to the development of thebilliards movementbut also offers fans the chance to watch high-quality matches between top domestic and international players.
The tournament is expected to attract about 250 players for the qualifying round, which follows a knockout format. From there, the 32 best performers will advance to the final round, joining 32 seeded players and guests to form a field of 64 competitors. The final round will be divided into 16 groups, played under a double-elimination system to select the outstanding players who move on to the knockout stage.
The champion will receive a trophy, a certificate of honor, and a cash prize of 80 million VND, while the runner-up gets 50 million VND, and the two third-place finishers each receive 20 million VND. The organizers will also award special prizes such as "Highest Point Run," "Best Match," and rewards for players who advance from the qualifying round.
All matches will be broadcast live on HTV Sports and HTV's digital platforms. With the presence of three Vietnamese players currently in the world's top 20, along with a quality lineup of international guests, the tournament is expected to deliver thrilling high-level contests, further solidifying the growing position of Vietnamese billiards on the international stage.
