This morning (August 20), representatives from the Vietnam U16 women's coaching staff attended the technical meeting ahead of the tournament. According to the plan, the team will visit the official Sriwedari pitch this afternoon before holding their first training session in Surakarta to get used to the local climate.

During the press conference, coach Okiyama Masahiko spoke about the living conditions of the Vietnam U16 women's team in Indonesia.

Having arrived in Indonesia for less than 24 hours, coach Okiyama Masahiko shared that the weather in Surakarta is cooler compared to Hanoi. Upon checking in at their designated hotel, the Vietnam U16 women's team received a very warm welcome. "The food provided yesterday and today has been suitable, our players have eaten well and rested comfortably. Currently, the entire team is in good health and ready for the tournament."

Regarding the team's objectives, coach Okiyama Masahiko highlighted: "First, we will strive to get through the group stage and reach the semifinals, playing our best in every match with the goal of winning the championship. Through this competition, I also hope our players can gain international experience, learn from matches and overseas tours, and develop a sense of pride and responsibility as members of the national team.

Through real match experience, I want to improve the individual skills of our players and the overall strength of the squad, aiming to prepare for the Asian U17 Women's Championship qualifiers coming up in October."
