Arsenal received positive news as initial scans revealed that Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard do not have long-term injuries, despite Manager Mikel Arteta's early concerns following the 5-0 victory over Leeds United last weekend.
Captain Odegaard suffered a right shoulder injury in the 14th minute after being pulled down by Anton Stach. Meanwhile, Saka went down immediately after Viktor Gyokeres scored Arsenal’s third goal and was forced off in the second half due to a hamstring strain.
Manager Arteta admitted he feared a "serious injury" to Saka, as the 23-year-old had previously missed three and a half months last season due to a hamstring tear. Odegaard also missed 12 matches last season because of an ankle injury.
