Coach Anh Đức feels the referee's decision to expel Trần Trung Hiếu during the Becamex TPHCM vs CAHN game was unjustified.
After their victory over HAGL, Becamex TPHCM came back down to earth with a 0-3 loss to CAHN at home. Coach Anh Đức’s team conceded early, and then the red card shown to the naturalized midfielder Trần Trung Hiếu became a turning point. Becamex TPHCM struggled to respond while playing with one less player and conceded two more goals in the second half.
After the match, Coach Nguyễn Anh Đức expressed dissatisfaction with the referee’s decision regarding midfielder Trần Trung Hiếu.
Coach Anh Đức shared: “I’m not sure if the referee was influenced by the opponent’s reactions, but clearly Trung Hiếu had already received a yellow card earlier. If it was a deliberate foul, the referee should have shown a direct red card. I’m not really satisfied with how it was handled. Of course, I need to review the situation and advise Trung Hiếu, because actions like that are easy to be penalized.”
Facing a numerical disadvantage and conceding an early goal, Coach Anh Đức found it hard to blame his players. He admitted the team still faces many challenges as foreign players have yet to contribute significantly to the overall performance.
“Currently, recruiting foreign players based only on videos or slides is very difficult. The time is too short; if possible, we should watch them in person to make a more accurate assessment,” Coach Anh Đức said.
Regarding the question about midfielder Võ Hoàng Minh Khoa, who almost joined CAHN earlier this season, Coach Anh Đức said every team wants Minh Khoa in their squad, but the midfielder still has a contract with the club: “Not only Coach Polking, but any coach would want Minh Khoa in their lineup. However, he still has a contract with the club and is a native of Bình Dương, so perhaps it’s not the right time to discuss Minh Khoa’s future.”
After this match, Bình Dương will travel to Hanoi to face Viettel in the third round of the V-League.
