The Vietnam national team will convene for the third training camp in 2025 featuring a host of youthful players. Under the guidance of Coach Dinh Hong Vinh, the squad will compete in two friendlies against CAHN Club and Thep Xanh Nam Dinh.
This is the third training camp of the year 2025 for the team, primarily aimed at reviewing, inspecting, and evaluating the squad to prepare for upcoming matches in the final round of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers scheduled for October.
Therefore, in this call-up list, alongside the main core players, there are new talents such as goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan (Hanoi), defenders Tran Hoang Phuc (Ho Chi Minh City Police), Dinh Quang Kiet (HAGL), midfielder Ly Cong Hoang Anh (Thep Xanh Nam Dinh), and forward Pham Gia Hung (Ninh Binh). Additionally, the team welcomes back midfielder Doan Ngoc Tan (Dong A Thanh Hoa) and defender Phan Tuan Tai (The Cong Viettel) after recovering from injuries.
Due to Head Coach Kim Sang Sik’s commitment to leading the Vietnam U23 team in the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup qualifiers at the same time, the coaching duties for the Vietnam national team have been assigned to Acting Head Coach Dinh Hong Vinh.
During their training period at the Vietnam Football Youth Training Center, the national team is expected to play two practice matches against Hanoi Police Club (on September 4) and Thep Xanh Nam Dinh Club (on September 7). With a squad featuring many talented players, especially a high-quality group of foreign players, these two teams will serve as ideal sparring partners for the Vietnam national team’s tests.
