Manchester United supporters must spend almost £1,000 for the chance to play with a club legend.
According to The Sun, former player Paul Scholes will take part in a one-hour five-a-side football match. The 15 players will be split into two teams, with substitutions every three minutes, meaning fans who buy tickets are unlikely to play the full time alongside their idol.
The match will be held on the rooftop of the Football Hotel in Manchester, owned by two Man Utd legends, Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs.
Tickets for the event on September 3rd cost £750 plus an £18.75 service fee, but they are now sold out. Attendees will have the chance to take photos with Paul Scholes, get his autograph, and enjoy a burger with fries.
A supporter told The Sun: “Every United fan dreams of playing football with their hero, and they hope for a bit of ‘Fergie time’ to stay on the pitch longer with Scholesy.”
Scholes was with Man Utd for nearly 20 years until 2013, scoring over 150 goals. As a member of the famous “Class of 92,” he won 11 Premier League titles, 3 FA Cups, 2 Champions Leagues, 2 League Cups, 1 Intercontinental Cup, and 1 FIFA Club World Cup.
After retiring, the 1974-born star briefly managed Salford City, the club co-owned by former England players including Neville and Giggs before it was sold in 2025. Currently, Paul Scholes works as a football commentator.
