The Chinese women's team will debut tonight against their second group rival, Colombia. Our sole objective is to secure a victory and qualify for the round of 16. The match is currently underway, and the first set has concluded with China rallying to win decisively 25-16, taking a 1-0 lead!

After the heavy defeat in Paris, the China women's volleyball team has entered the Los Angeles Olympic cycle, which requires a major lineup overhaul and the inclusion of younger players. This World Championship serves as a critical test for these young athletes. As for the results, we can’t predict much and must take it step by step, considering the significant gap with top-tier teams. In the first round of the group stage, we were caught off guard by the weaker Mexican team but managed a narrow win. Today, in the second round against Colombia, we aim for a second consecutive victory. Surprisingly, Li Yingying and Gao Yi, who performed poorly in the first match, remain in the starting lineup!

After the match started, the China women's volleyball team quickly entered attack mode, scoring a dream 5-0 opening run. Unexpectedly, errors in attack, service faults, and failed blocks allowed Colombia to launch a 7-0 scoring streak and take the lead. After trailing 8-11, we diversified our offense and went on a 7-1 run to lead 15-12. Colombia fought back with two points to stop the bleeding, making it 15-14. Then we unleashed another 7-0 surge to pull ahead 22-14, effectively ending the suspense. China then maintained steady control to secure the set 25-16 and take the first lead!

Judging from the first set, China’s start was shaky but they soon stabilized, spreading the attack to build a strong lead and ultimately win the set. Now we need to keep pushing hard for the win. Let’s go, keep fighting!
