The fixture between The Cong Viettel Club and Becamex TPHCM Club in the 3rd round of the V-League is set to be delayed by one day.
The organizers of the 2025/26 V-League recently agreed and announced that the match between The Cong Viettel Club and Becamex TPHCM Club in the 3rd round at Hang Day Stadium will be postponed by one day due to road restrictions and closures supporting the rehearsal for the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day parade and procession (A80).
Specifically, the match will be moved from 7:15 PM on August 29, 2025, to 7:15 PM on August 30, 2025, at Hang Day Stadium. Previously, the Hanoi FC vs HAGL match in round 2 was also rescheduled to ensure favorable conditions for citizens and authorities during the country's major event organization.
The tournament organizers also requested the match organizers, The Cong Viettel Football Club, Becamex Ho Chi Minh City Football Club, and related departments to update information and coordinate to ensure the match preparation and organization comply with regulations and achieve good results according to the adjusted plan.
The one-day delay of the match between The Cong Viettel and Becamex TPHCM will somewhat affect the preparation process of the Vietnam U23 team and the national team. According to the schedule, both teams are set to regroup on August 29 to prepare for the 2025 AFC U23 Asian Cup qualifiers and friendly matches. Thus, players from these two clubs will have to join the squad later than planned.
In this call-up, The Cong Viettel contributes three players to the Vietnam U23 team: Nguyen Cong Phuong, Khuat Van Khang, and Dang Tuan Phong; and three players to the national team: Nguyen Van Viet, Truong Tien Anh, and Phan Tuan Tai. Meanwhile, Becamex TPHCM has one player called up to the national team, Vo Hoang Minh Khoa.
