U16 Southeast Asia Semifinal Schedule: Vietnam Faces Thailand in a Major Clash
Having secured first place in Group B to advance to the semifinals, the Vietnam U16 women's team is set to compete against Thailand U16 in the semis.
On the evening of August 25, the Vietnam U16 women's team achieved their second consecutive win in the 2025 Southeast Asia U16 Women's Championship, securing their spot in the semifinals as Group B leaders. In their opening match, they defeated Cambodia 5-0 and later won 2-0 against Myanmar U16 in the final group stage match.
The semifinal opponent for Coach Okiyama Masahiko’s squad has been confirmed as the Thailand U16 women's team — the second-place team with the best record. The Thai girls, placed in Group C alongside strong contender Australia, earned 3 points after beating Singapore.
The other semifinal pairing features the host team Indonesia U16 (Group A winners) against Australia U16 (Group C winners). Both semifinals will take place on August 27 at the Manahan Stadium in Surakarta.
