Poland's Sport TVP praised Damian Vũ Thanh An extensively following his goal in his first appearance for Thể Công Viettel on August 22.
In the match between Thể Công Viettel and Ho Chi Minh City Police on August 22, overseas Vietnamese player Damian Vũ Thanh An made headlines by scoring a goal in his very first game wearing the soldier team's jersey. Specifically, right after coming on in the 81st minute, he capitalized on a defensive mistake from the opposition to tap the ball into an empty net, making the score 2-0 for the home team. Notably, this goal was scored with his first touch after entering the field.
The name Damian Vũ Thanh An then attracted significant attention. Not only Vietnamese media but also Polish media showed interest in the impressive debut of the midfielder born in 2003. The Sport TVP published an article titled: "Damian Vũ Thanh makes his debut in Vietnam’s top league and immediately scores."

Born in 2003 in Poland, Damian Vũ Thanh An is the son of a Vietnamese father and a Polish mother. He began his career at Olimpia Grudziądz in the Betclic Second Division, making 21 appearances. Last season, he was loaned to Stal Brzeg. After the season ended, he decided to leave Poland and move to Vietnam to continue his football career.
