Nguyễn Thành Lợi, a promising 16-year-old from Park Hang Seo Academy, is the first academy player to be officially registered for V-League competition.
Nguyễn Thành Lợi made history as the first player from Park Hang Seo Academy to be registered for V.League matches. This milestone marks a significant moment not only for Thành Lợi personally but also for the emerging youth training center.
In the registration list for the first phase of the 2025/26 season, HAGL’s coach Lê Quang Trãi officially included Thành Lợi, born in 2009, in the team roster. Standing at an impressive 1.86 meters, this young goalkeeper has demonstrated exceptional ability despite being new to the youth ranks. Thành Lợi’s inclusion is a source of pride for Park Hang Seo Academy and opens new opportunities for other trainees to experience professional football at the V-League level.
Thành Lợi is the first student from the U15 class of Park Hang Seo Academy, selected in May 2024. After joining the Hàm Rồng training center, he has continued to train and develop within a professional football environment.
The official website of Park Hang Seo Academy shared: "We believe Thành Lợi will gain valuable learning experiences and achieve great success. He is the first representative we have entrusted to a top football training center like LPBank HAGL. The road ahead will have many challenges, but with determination, we are confident Thành Lợi will accomplish impressive achievements."
At HAGL, Thành Lợi will face fierce competition for the goalkeeper position, competing against seniors such as Trần Trung Kiên, Nguyễn Vũ Khang, Huỳnh Trần Bảo Duy, and Phan Đình Vũ Hải. Although his playing time may be limited, being included in the V.League roster is a well-deserved reward for the young goalkeeper’s relentless efforts.
Regarding HAGL, the team will face a tough away match against Công an TP.HCM in round 3 of the V.League 2025/26. After two matches, coach Lê Quang Trãi’s squad has secured only 1 point from a courageous draw against Hà Nội FC in the previous round.
