Chelsea’s ability to sell players is impressive, as they frequently receive substantial fees for those they deem unnecessary, like Maduake’s move to Arsenal. Currently, Nkunku has been successfully sold to AC Milan for a premium as well.
According to the latest report from Romano, AC Milan has finalized the signing of Nkunku, agreeing on a five-year personal contract. They have also settled the transfer fee with Chelsea, totaling €42 million, including a fixed fee of €35 million, matching the player’s valuation, plus €7 million in add-ons and a percentage of any future resale profits.
Romano stated that AC Milan reached a five-year contract agreement with Nkunku on August 25th; the clubs prepared the paperwork on August 28th, and the deal is now fully completed.
Nkunku, 27 years old, a right-footed attacker standing 1.77 meters tall, was only a rotational player at Chelsea. Last Premier League season, he appeared 27 times but started just 9 matches, totaling 910 minutes, scoring only 3 league goals and providing 2 assists. Mostly, he featured in cup competitions as a squad rotation option. Unable to secure a starting role at Chelsea, the former Bundesliga top scorer has chosen to join Serie A giants AC Milan, aiming to revive his career with the Rossoneri.
