Midfielder Nguyễn Hồng Sơn, who developed at Aspire Academy (Qatar), has officially joined Đồng Tháp FC, promising to bring fresh energy to the team's midfield.

Đồng Tháp Club has officially announced the signing of Nguyễn Hồng Sơn – a talented midfielder born in 2000, expected to bring new vitality to the midfield of the Sen Hồng region’s team for the 2025/26 season.

Nguyễn Hồng Sơn was trained at the prestigious PVF academy, known for producing many quality young players for Vietnamese football. With his skillful technique, sharp tactical thinking, and high creativity, Hồng Sơn quickly made his mark playing for well-established clubs such as Quảng Nam FC and Sài Gòn FC. He also had a valuable period studying abroad at Aspire Academy (Qatar), one of Asia’s top football training centers, which enhanced his skills and game intelligence.

Hồng Sơn’s career gained more attention when coach Park Hang-seo called him up to the Vietnam U23 national team for SEA Games 31. Although he had limited playing time, being part of the U23 squad confirmed his potential and professional quality.
