Manchester United's leadership is superstitious about the new academy star and refuses to buy midfielders, leaving Amolin dissatisfied! No midfielder meets his expectations.

English reports state that Manchester United's head coach Ruben Amolin aimed to bring in Atletico Madrid's Conor Gallagher before the transfer deadline, as the player suits his style of play, but the board's insistence on retaining Cody Menoe stopped the transfer from happening.

Manchester United spent more than £230 million in the summer window to acquire five new players, yet none were midfield reinforcements. The Red Devils brought in three forwards, one wing-back, and one goalkeeper. However, many fans and former players believe the club should have signed a new midfielder.

The Red Devils have many midfielders, but hardly any fully meet Amolin's 3-4-3 tactical requirements, especially lacking a top-tier defensive midfielder.

Manchester United did attempt to sign Brighton's Carlos Baleba during the transfer window, but with a price tag of £120 million, a deal this summer was unrealistic. The club has decided to wait and act in the next two transfer windows.

Before the summer window closed, 20-year-old academy star Menoe requested a loan move, but the club told him they would only agree if a replacement was found. Since no new midfielder was signed, the England international had to stay.

Amolin publicly stated that Menoe can only compete with captain Bruno Fernandes for a starting spot now, which was interpreted as a hint from the coach that Menoe might leave since he can only play as a substitute.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported: "After the Manchester United vs. Fulham match, Menoe directly approached Amolin and, together with his agent, went to the club to express his unhappiness about not getting playing time at United. From what I know, internally at United, including Sir Jim Ratcliffe, they decided firmly not to sell Menoe. So this is a collective decision involving the directors, CEO, coach, and owner."

However, Romano suggested this might not be the final chapter. "I think the coming months will be interesting. If Menoe gets playing time, things will improve; but if he remains on the bench, I believe this issue will resurface."

English media "Football Transfers" claimed that Menoe staying was mainly the board's decision, which angered Amolin. "The young Portuguese coach was frustrated because the club's top management rejected Menoe's loan request, as his goal was to bring in midfielders who fit his playing style."

Reports say that after ruling out Baleba and Walton, United also failed to acquire Stuttgart's Stil from the Bundesliga. Amolin still wanted to pursue Atletico Madrid's English international Gallagher, but the club refused to act. United wanted a loan, but Diego Simeone's team only agreed to a permanent transfer, and Ratcliffe was unwilling and unable to fund a permanent deal.

Football Transfers reported that Amolin was very unhappy because Menoe had clearly expressed he did not want to stay at United, while Gallagher was a possible signing. It is widely believed that unless Menoe changes, he will struggle to find his ideal role in the 3-4-3 formation and will likely leave eventually.

Menoe appears to show no signs of adapting; during the international break, he posted a video on social media showcasing his foot skills, prompting fans who admire him to exclaim, "Ronaldinimeno!" However, Amolin prefers midfielders who work hard and run rather than just show flashy footwork.

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes agrees with Amolin's dissatisfaction with the current midfield options, not just Menoe; his former Sporting Lisbon teammate Ugarte also fails to impress the coach.

Scholes stated: "Right now, Amolin has four or five midfielders and wants to field two, but he hasn't found the right combination. He doesn't like Ugarte and Menoe; he doesn't like Casemiro and Menoe. Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes seem to be his preferred pairing, but that combination won't win you the Premier League. He probably dislikes Ugarte, absolutely dislikes him."
