Indonesia 'tennis set' Taiwan

(Football result) - Indonesia recently secured a commanding win against Taiwan in the FIFA Days friendly matches held in September.

The Indonesian team dominated with a 6-0 win over Taiwan in this lineup testing match. In the 3rd minute, central defender Jordi Amat opened the scoring with a precise header. By the 22nd minute, constant pressure caused the Taiwanese players to mistakenly score an own goal, making it 2-0. Just 10 minutes later, Marc Klok unleashed a beautiful long-range shot, putting the home side ahead 3-0. Before halftime, Yakob broke free and delivered a perfect cross for Reijnders to easily tap in, allowing Indonesia to go into the break with a 4-0 lead.

In the second half, Indonesia’s attacking intensity did not wane. In the 57th minute, Ramadhan Sananta quickly finished after Taiwan’s defense clumsily cleared the ball, increasing the lead to 5-0. Minutes later, Sandy Walsh seized a set-piece opportunity to seal a 6-0 victory for the archipelago team.

A completely dominant performance by Indonesia, where coach Patrick Kluivert’s players displayed overwhelming strength, treating this match as an ideal rehearsal before the 2026 World Cup fourth qualifying round.
