Following their injury spells, To Van Vu and Tran Van Dat have made their comeback and are prepared to compete in Nam Dinh's colors.
Ahead of the V-League 2025/26 resuming after the first break, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh Club has received positive news from two domestic players, To Van Vu and Tran Van Dat. Specifically, both have recovered from their injuries after a long time. Recently, they have returned to normal training and are ready to participate in upcoming matches. Previously, Nam Dinh had also registered both players on the V-League roster.
To Van Vu is the vice-captain of Thep Xanh Nam Dinh. In both the V-League and AFC Champions League Two last season, he contributed 1 goal and 1 assist. Before his injury, Van Vu appeared in 19 matches for Nam Dinh across all competitions. The return of the midfielder born in 1993 is excellent news for the Nam team, especially as they have not been performing well in the early part of the new season.
Meanwhile, Tran Van Dat is one of the promising players from the 2000-2001 generation at Thep Xanh Nam Dinh Club. Last season, Van Dat played 19 V-League matches, scoring 3 goals. In the AFC Champions League Two, this midfielder also made 5 appearances.
After 3 rounds, Thep Xanh Nam has had less than favorable results. Currently, the team has 6 points, temporarily ranking 5th on the leaderboard, 3 points behind the top team Ninh Binh. According to coach Vu Hong Viet, the defending champions are facing a major crisis with many key players suffering continuous injuries.
On September 4, the V-League defending champions played a friendly match against the Vietnam national team at the Youth Football Training Center. In this match, coach Hong Viet fielded 10 foreign players and 1 overseas Vietnamese player. With superior strength, they secured a 4-0 victory over the "Golden Star Warriors."
