Rashford's performance has been disappointing, with reports that Barcelona are considering returning him! They could end the loan early in January for a compensation of £4.3 million.

Rashford achieved his childhood dream by joining Barcelona on loan in the summer window. Yet, his La Liga performances have been disappointing enough that Spanish media report Flick's side is considering "returning" him! The loan agreement with Barcelona does not mandate a compulsory buyout.

Statistics reveal that Rashford has played three matches for Barcelona since the season began, with just one start. He has failed to maintain his preseason form and has struggled in La Liga, with "El País" even reporting that Barcelona is contemplating terminating the loan deal early during the January transfer window.

However, if Barcelona wants to end the loan mid-season, they must pay £4.3 million (€5 million), roughly equivalent to one-third of Rashford's seasonal salary. Thus, it would not be financially advantageous, but Spanish media say that since the 27-year-old joined, the club has grown concerned about his performances.

Reports indicate that Barcelona will decide within the next few months whether to send Rashford back to Manchester United at the start of the new year or to continue with the full loan term, depending on his upcoming displays. The Red Devils would prefer not to have their academy star return early, as although most of his wages might be compensated by Barcelona, his return could have a significant impact on the locker room.

Rashford's contract with Manchester United runs until 2028, but he is no longer part of Ruben Amorim's plans. The club hopes to part ways completely and wants him to perform well in La Liga to persuade Barcelona to activate the €30 million buyout clause instead of returning him. If Rashford continues to underperform, Barcelona will likely not exercise the buyout, even if they keep him through winter.

Although Manchester United did not receive any fee from Rashford's loan deal, the arrangement saves them approximately £12 million in wages. Therefore, if this temporary setup is canceled by the end of the year, it would financially impact both clubs negatively and disappoint Red Devils’ coach Amorim significantly.

Another Manchester United player who moved to La Liga in the summer, Antony, shed tears again after finally completing his permanent transfer to Real Betis, where local fans welcomed him warmly. "Only my family knows how tough it was to get here," Antony said tearfully. "I had been training alone before, but I knew this moment would come. Of course, I sometimes worried it might not happen, but I kept waiting because I trusted the club."

Antony reflected, "This transfer was very difficult to make happen, but now it’s done. I can’t wait to wear the Betis shirt again, and I’m grateful to everyone who worked hard to make this possible."

He continued, "The change is huge! Seville is much more beautiful than Manchester, and I’m finally back. I stayed in a hotel for over 40 days, which was very hard, but everyone knew I wanted to return to Betis. Now I have more time and so many things to accomplish. Seeing the support from Betis fans makes it hard to sleep; some were even waiting outside my house at 2 a.m."

He concluded, "Feeling cared for is very important to me; it’s something money can’t buy. Here, I feel warmth and love. Betis has always been my first choice, so I waited until the last day. Now that I’m back, living in a city I adore and playing for a club I love, I’m very happy."

Seville’s "ABC" newspaper revealed special bonus payment terms in Antony’s transfer fee. Betis paid £21.6 million, including £2.6 million in variable clauses. Moreover, if Betis wins any titles or qualifies for the Champions League during Antony’s four-year contract, Manchester United will receive an additional £434,000 each time. Therefore, theoretically, the "Compass" could bring the Red Devils up to £23.4 million.
