Forward Noni Madueke has been commended by his personal trainer for his dedication to training and fighting spirit similar to the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo.
Saul Isaksson-Hurst has been Noni Madueke’s personal coach for the past four years and accompanied the 23-year-old Londoner to train in Spain during the summer break. He praised the player and confirmed that Noni Madueke possesses the same determination as Ronaldo: “What people often misunderstand about Noni Madueke is his spirit. He is like a ‘mental beast’. If I compare his willpower and focus, I would put him alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.
“He is extremely focused and determined to be the best and always wants to improve further. We spent five or six days in Marbella. I even had to force him to rest every other day because he just wanted to train more, do more, and keep improving.
“While his peers were enjoying themselves on Marbella’s beaches, he was on the training ground, working out with me every day. I can only say what I see when coaching him: always focused, hardworking, and fully committed.”
Regarding some Arsenal fans’ criticism, Isaksson-Hurst stated: “That’s just water off a duck’s back. He accepts it as part of football. It doesn’t shake him, and he wants to succeed here.
I’m sure Arsenal fans will come to love him. The club is closer to home, so he feels settled. Arsenal is a big club, and Noni wants to become one of the best players in the world.”
Meanwhile, Madueke himself confirmed he is also a fan of Ronaldo: “I have the desire to be the best. I’m the kind of person who gets angry if I don’t achieve that.
To become a great player, you need that mindset. Ronaldo is the perfect role model. I grew up as a Man Utd fan and followed his matches.”
