Onana and Amorin have fallen out, and Manchester United believes his departure will promote harmony! Malacia is close to leaving.

Manchester United coach Rúben Amorim believes that André Onana’s departure will foster a more peaceful dressing room atmosphere, enabling the team to thrive. Onana is set to be loaned to Trabzonspor in the Turkish top division this season and has become an unwelcome figure at Carrington.

The British tabloid The Sun reported that in the past few weeks, the relationship between Onana and Amorim has completely collapsed beyond repair, with public discord between them. Sources revealed that in the final days before the international break, Onana showed no enthusiasm or commitment during training.

During training sessions, he ignored the head coach and refused to communicate. An insider from the club stated, "It feels like André (Onana) is just showing up without demonstrating any team spirit."

Amorim is pleased that Onana has been loaned out, believing his departure removes the last potential negative influence on the squad, increasing the likelihood of the team achieving excellent results. Previously, Amorim was very disappointed when his originally planned first-choice goalkeeper suffered a hamstring injury at the start of preseason, especially after learning that Onana had been playing informal forward roles on uneven muddy fields just days before returning to England.

Although Manchester United received no loan fee for Onana’s departure, offering little financial relief aside from saving his wages, Amorim feels that the positive impact on team cohesion far outweighs any financial drawbacks. The 40-year-old Portuguese coach now leads a squad capable of working well together.

Amorim sincerely believes that the six designated locker room leaders—Bruno Fernandes, Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Diogo Dalot, Tom Heaton, and Mazraoui—now hold enough authority to ensure the coach’s rules are followed, marking a crucial step in the team’s rebuilding process.

Onana made another error and caused controversy during Tuesday’s African World Cup qualifier. He chose not to come out for a one-on-one situation, allowing Cape Verde forward Darlon Livramento to easily score the decisive 1-0 goal. After the match, a fan ran onto the pitch wanting a photo with him, but an unhappy Onana forcefully pushed the fan away.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Onana did not return to Manchester United but flew directly to Turkey, where he is expected to complete the loan deal on Thursday.

His wife, Melanie Camayo, was captured by British media leaving Manchester with several suitcases, heading to Istanbul to join him.

Melanie, a licensed pharmacist and model with 72,000 followers, met Onana in 2019, married him two years ago in Paris, and they have a son together.

Onana’s departure has relieved Amorim, allowing him to focus on preparing the team for Sunday’s Manchester derby. Previously, Amorim had already let Rashford, Garnacho, Antony, and Sancho leave, mostly at a loss, but it has cleared the air at Carrington.

The only concern is that Onana’s loan does not include a purchase option, meaning he could return to Manchester United next year and become a new “pest.” However, that is nearly a year away, and Amorim has no time to think that far ahead; if he cannot lead the team to success, he might no longer be around by then.

The last of the so-called “five pests” in Manchester United’s locker room this summer, left-back Tyrell Malacia, also has a chance to leave either this month or as soon as this Friday, possibly on loan to a Turkish Süper Lig club.

Romano confirmed that Turkish Süper Lig side Eyüpspor, currently 10th in the league, has indeed contacted Manchester United but no agreement has been finalized yet. However, several foreign clubs reportedly want to sign him on a free transfer, giving Malacia a chance to complete a move.
