The Norwegian Football Federation will donate all profits from the 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Israel to the humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders, to support urgent medical aid in the Gaza Strip.
According to the official announcement, the money raised from the Norway vs Israel match on October 11 will be allocated to provide medicines, medical equipment, and healthcare services to the people of Gaza — a region currently undergoing a severe humanitarian crisis with shortages of food, clean water, and basic medical care.
NFF President Lise Klaveness stated: “As members of FIFA and UEFA, we are obliged to participate in competitions that include Israel. However, this does not mean Norway will remain silent about what is happening in Gaza, where civilians are suffering greatly.”
She emphasized that donating all match profits to Doctors Without Borders demonstrates Norwegian football’s humanitarian commitment: “We want the funds to reach those who save lives every day in Gaza. Doctors Without Borders is precisely that organization.”
