FIFA continuously appoints officials from the Vietnam Football Federation.

VFF General Secretary Nguyễn Văn Phú and Deputy General Secretary Nguyễn Thanh Hà received appointments from FIFA during the latest FIFA Council session.

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) officially announced the appointment of Ms. Nguyễn Thanh Hà – Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) – as a member of the FIFA Women’s Football Committee for the 2025-2029 term.

According to FIFA, as a member of the Women’s Football Committee, Ms. Nguyễn Thanh Hà will collaborate with representatives from member associations worldwide to develop, advise on, and guide the growth of club and national team women’s football competitions, contributing to the sustainable advancement of women’s football globally.

Currently, Ms. Nguyễn Thanh Hà also serves as a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women’s Football Committee. Her appointment by FIFA reflects recognition of her professional expertise, management experience, and active contributions to the development of women’s football in Vietnam, while also highlighting the increasingly prominent status of the VFF within the international football community, especially in the women’s football sector – a notable highlight of Vietnamese football in recent years.

Previously, VFF General Secretary Nguyễn Văn Phú was appointed by FIFA to the Medical Committee for the 2025-2029 term, a decision made during the FIFA Council meeting on October 2, 2025. In his role as a member of FIFA’s Medical Committee, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú will work alongside leading sports medicine experts worldwide to advise, develop, and oversee the implementation of medical policies and regulations in football, helping to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of players globally.

Also on October 7, 2025, FIFA officially announced the appointment of Mr. Trần Quốc Tuấn – Executive Committee member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) – as a member of FIFA’s National Team Competitions Committee for the 2025-2029 term.

According to the letter sent to the VFF, FIFA stated that the appointment was approved by the FIFA Council at the meeting on October 2, 2025, and affirmed that support and favorable conditions will be provided to Mr. Trần Quốc Tuấn to successfully fulfill his new responsibilities.
