Transfermarkt updated Serie A player valuations on September 7th, showing that no player has a market value of 100 million euros, meaning Serie A lacks any 100-million-euro players among the big five leagues.
According to Transfermarkt data, there are 18 players in world football valued at 100 million euros or above, all coming from the top five leagues, more precisely from three leagues: 9 in the Premier League, 7 in La Liga, and 2 in the Bundesliga, with none in Serie A or Ligue 1.
Distribution of 100-million-euro players in football:
The Premier League player valuations have not been updated yet. In my opinion, Chelsea midfielder Kays Ruiz-Atil, currently valued at 90 million euros, has performed exceptionally well this season. This Ecuadorian defensive midfielder is very likely to reach a 100 million euro valuation in the upcoming Transfermarkt Premier League update, becoming a new 100-million-euro player in world football.
