Ronaldo surprises everyone with his reason for not drinking mineral water

The legendary professionalism of Cristiano Ronaldo is once again mentioned through the story that he refuses to drink a bottle of mineral water without the club’s medical staff carefully inspecting its contents.

At 40 years old, Cristiano Ronaldo still maintains peak performance, with his greatest secret lying in how he trains and takes care of his body both on and off the pitch. The Portuguese superstar, who is expected to participate in his sixth World Cup this coming summer, has long been known for his strict diet and absolute discipline in nutrition.

Recently, Inter Milan’s CEO, Beppe Marotta, shared an unbelievable story from his time working with Ronaldo at Juventus. According to Marotta, CR7 was so meticulous that he would not drink a bottle of mineral water unless the club’s medical team had thoroughly examined its ingredients.

When asked about Ronaldo, Marotta revealed at a book launch event: “He is completely different from everyone else, no further explanation needed. When we were training away from home, there was a bottle of mineral water on the table. Ronaldo picked it up, examined the ingredients carefully, then asked the doctor why it was mixed that way. As long as he keeps playing, it’s because he knows how to use his intelligence to get the most out of everything.”

Despite being in his forties, Cristiano Ronaldo still impresses the experts when health technology company Whoop’s test results showed his biological age to be only 28.9, a figure that amazed many.

During a conversation with representatives from Whoop, CR7 enthusiastically said: “I can’t believe the results are this good. 28.9? Then I can still play for another 10 years.” This half-joking, half-serious statement not only reflects his confidence in his extraordinary physical condition but also shows that Ronaldo’s passion for football still burns as brightly as ever.

Ronaldo played for Juventus for over three seasons (2018–2021), scoring 101 goals in 134 matches and winning two Serie A titles (Scudetto). He is currently playing for Al-Nassr, where CR7 continues to score regularly with 104 goals in 117 games since joining in 2023.
