Head Coach of Becamex TPHCM also takes on the role of Team Leader

Coach Đặng Trần Chỉnh will also assume the position of Team Leader for Becamex TPHCM beginning with the 7th round of the V-League.

During the V-League break for the October FIFA international window, many Vietnamese clubs took the opportunity to make personnel changes, especially within their coaching staff. Among these, Becamex TPHCM attracted attention by implementing a major overhaul in their technical department.

Specifically, according to the tournament organizers' announcement, Coach Đặng Trần Chỉnh has been granted full authority to lead the team by holding both the Head Coach and Team Leader positions. This means he will be responsible not only for tactics and on-field expertise but also for overall management of the club's operations.

Mr. Hồ Hồng Thạch, who previously served as Team Leader, will step down to become Deputy Team Leader alongside Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Sơn to assist with administrative duties. This move indicates the club's leadership places complete trust in Coach Đặng Trần Chỉnh during the team's rebuilding process both in playing style and identity.

In practice, Mr. Chỉnh officially took charge from round 6 and quickly generated a positive impact by helping Becamex TPHCM secure a valuable draw away against Thanh Hóa in that round.

Besides Becamex TPHCM, two other clubs, SLNA and Hà Nội FC, also made significant coaching staff changes starting from round 7. Specifically, Coach Văn Sỹ Sơn will officially replace Mr. Phan Như Thuật to lead the Nghệ An team. Meanwhile, the capital’s club is full of confidence with the arrival of new coach Harry Kewell along with local player Đỗ Hoàng Hên.
