Đỗ Hoàng Hên (the Vietnamese name of midfielder Hendrio Araujo Da Silva) could not hide his happiness at the ceremony granting Vietnamese naturalization to the Brazilian-born midfielder, held at the Hanoi Department of Justice on the morning of October 17th.

Wearing the traditional Vietnamese áo dài, Đỗ Hoàng Hên joined the delegates in the flag salute and national anthem before officially receiving the Vietnamese naturalization certificate.
Overcome with emotion, Đỗ Hoàng Hên shared (in Vietnamese): “I am very happy, proud, and deeply grateful! I have officially become a Vietnamese citizen. I love the country and the Vietnamese people. I am eager to contribute to Vietnamese football. I will strive even harder to deserve everyone’s trust and give my best for Hanoi Football Club as well as Vietnamese football.”
A representative from Hanoi Football Club stated that this is proof of the club’s vision in developing Vietnamese football by selecting, supporting, and working alongside foreign players who possess skill, character, and a strong desire to contribute.
Đỗ Hoàng Hên is regarded as one of the best foreign players in the V-League in recent years, known for his technical style, modern thinking, and high ability to create breakthroughs. According to plans, Đỗ Hoàng Hên will make his debut when Hanoi hosts Ninh Bình in round 7 of the 2025/26 V.League on October 18th. This is expected to be a special debut for the player who has just become a “Vietnamese” in the capital club’s jersey.
