Indonesian fans express their wish for Coach Park Hang Seo to lead their national team

After the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) fired Coach Patrick Kluivert, numerous Indonesian fans have called for Coach Park Hang Seo to take over as the head coach of the archipelago's national team.

Once the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) officially terminated Coach Patrick Kluivert's contract due to failures in the 2026 World Cup fourth qualifying round, Indonesian social media immediately erupted. Many fans simultaneously shared their opinions on the new coaching position, with Park Hang Seo, the former head coach of Vietnam, being the most frequently mentioned name.

On major football forums, many fans believe the Korean strategist is the "ideal choice" to revive Indonesian football after a disappointing run under Kluivert's leadership.

A user named Taufiq Manndas wrote: “I have always wanted Coach Park Hang Seo to lead the Indonesian national team; he knows how to make Southeast Asian players disciplined and passionate. He achieved miracles with Vietnam and can definitely do the same with Indonesia.”

Another fan agreed with this view: “I don’t blame Kluivert, but clearly, he didn’t understand Indonesian people. Park is different; he has faced us many times and understands the strengths and weaknesses of players in this region.”
