With Shenhua winning 2-1, Chengdu 3-1, and Haigang 4-3 over Hainiu, the latest CSL standings show the top three separated by just three points.

On October 18th Beijing time, the 27th round of the CSL began last night. In the spotlighted matches, the leader Shanghai Haigang triumphed over Qingdao Hainiu 4-3, Chengdu overcame Meizhou Hakka 3-1, and Shenhua secured a 2-1 victory against Qingdao West Coast. Consequently, the latest standings show Haigang maintaining first place with a 2-point advantage, Chengdu right behind in second, and Shenhua third; the top three are separated by three points, turning the championship into a fiercely contested three-way battle full of suspense!

Qingdao Hainiu faced Shanghai Haigang. This match was very interesting as the title favorite Shanghai Haigang played against the relegation-bottom team Qingdao Hainiu, creating a unique dynamic. The two sides engaged in a goal-filled battle, with Hainiu fighting fiercely and matching Haigang’s attacking play. However, Haigang’s foreign players were too strong and scored more goals. In the end, Hainiu narrowly lost 3-4, allowing Haigang to take all three points on the road and remain top of the table!

Chengdu played against Meizhou. Chengdu had drawn with Shenhua and Zhejiang in their last two rounds, losing the top spot and falling 2 points behind Haigang. Facing the weaker Meizhou Hakka this round, their goal was to secure all three points. After the match started, Chengdu quickly took control of the game’s pace and attacked Meizhou, scoring first to break the deadlock. However, 7 minutes later Meizhou responded with a lightning-fast counterattack to equalize. The first half ended 1-1. In the second half, Chengdu kept up the pressure and bombarded Meizhou relentlessly, scoring two late goals to extend their lead. The match ended 3-1 in favor of Chengdu, who are now closing in on Haigang!

Qingdao West Coast hosted Shanghai Shenhua. Qingdao West Coast took the initiative and scored first to take the lead. However, Shenhua quickly equalized with a penalty. Then Qingdao West Coast inexplicably received two red cards in succession, allowing Shenhua to gradually take control and play more comfortably. Shenhua did not rush to score but eventually secured a 2-1 comeback win thanks to a goal from Yu Hanchao, earning three points and moving up to third place!
