U23 Vietnam is the top seed, soon to learn their opponent for the 2025 SEA Games.

Group 2 includes Malaysia, Myanmar, and Cambodia. Group 3 consists of the Philippines, Laos, and Singapore. According to this format, the winner of each group plus the best second-placed team among the three groups (total four teams) will advance to the semifinals.

The group stage matches will be held in Songkhla and Chiang Mai. The semifinals and final will take place at Rajamangala National Stadium (Bangkok).

The 33rd SEA Games will be hosted in Thailand from December 9 to 20, 2025, across three locations: Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla. This is the seventh time Thailand has hosted the Games, and the first time Chonburi and Songkhla provinces will co-host alongside the capital Bangkok.

According to the tentative schedule, football will be played from around December 3 to 18, with strong participation from both men’s and women’s teams in the region.

In men’s football, teams will compete under the U22 format (players born on or after January 1, 2003), with no overage players allowed. The group stage will be held at venues in Songkhla, Chiang Mai, and Bangkok, while the semifinals and final are expected to be held at Rajamangala National Stadium (Bangkok).

For women’s football, there is no age limit, and the tournament will be conducted throughout the duration of the Games. Women’s matches will take place in Chonburi, with group and knockout rounds hosted at venues such as IPE Chonburi and Chonburi Stadium.
