(Football results) - Arsenal defeated Fulham by a slim 1-0 margin in the 8th round of the 2025/26 Premier League, thereby holding onto first place in the standings.
In the early hours of October 19 (Vietnam time), Arsenal faced a challenging away match at Fulham’s Craven Cottage, part of the 8th round of the 2025/26 Premier League season. Despite heavy pressure, coach Mikel Arteta’s squad managed a narrow 1-0 win to continue leading the league.
Right from kickoff, Fulham started energetically with fast attacks down both wings. Harry Wilson and Alex Iwobi repeatedly tested their luck with long-range shots, but goalkeeper David Raya held firm. Arsenal gradually regained control thanks to superior midfield possession from Martin Zubimendi, Declan Rice, and Eberechi Eze, establishing significant dominance.

After several missed chances, the turning point came in the 59th minute when Leandro Trossard quickly finished close-range to score Arsenal’s opener following a scrappy sequence inside the box. This goal remained the only one of the match, although the visitors were awarded a penalty later which was overturned by VAR.
In the second half, Fulham pushed forward strongly with the introduction of Adama Traoré and Kevin, but all their efforts were thwarted by Arsenal’s defense.
