Coach Gerard Albadalejo highly commended Hoàng Đức's display during Ninh Bình's win against Hanoi FC in the 7th round of the V-League.
Ninh Bình continues to demonstrate excellent form this season as they just secured a crucial victory on Hanoi FC’s home ground in the 7th round of the V-League.
During the 90 minutes at Hàng Đẫy, although he did not score directly, Hoàng Đức delivered an outstanding performance by assisting Daniel Dos Anjos to open the scoring and also helped shape Ninh Bình’s gameplay. After the match, Coach Gerard Albadalejo praised the team’s playmaker, comparing his level to the "Alien" Ronaldo Nazario.
The Spanish strategist shared: "I want to extend special congratulations to Hoàng Đức. Today he showed an almost ‘otherworldly’ fighting spirit. Despite facing fitness issues, Hoàng Đức played with a strong desire to support his teammates, contribute to the fans, the coaching staff, and the club. He is a great example of leadership spirit and responsibility."
Up to now, Hoàng Đức has provided six assists for Ninh Bình this season, including five in the V-League. This achievement partly highlights the indispensable role of the former Thể Công Viettel player in the playing style of the current National First Division champions.
Additionally, Coach Albadalejo admitted that Ninh Bình faced many challenges against the strength of Hanoi FC but affirmed that the team deserved the three points at Hàng Đẫy.
The 42-year-old coach added: "We knew this would be a very tough match, especially without being in the best condition. Hanoi FC is always an opponent that can intimidate any team. But if you want to win here, you must endure and persist until the end. We managed to do that and deserved today’s result."
After a goalless first half, an exciting attacking battle unexpectedly unfolded in the remaining 45 minutes. The deadlock was broken in the 69th minute when Daniel Dos Anjos headed in the opener for Ninh Bình. At the 80th minute, young talent Quốc Việt doubled the lead with a powerful shot just outside the penalty area. Three minutes later, Lê Xuân Tú scored a consolation goal for the home team, but that was the final goal of the match, sealing a 2-1 victory for Ninh Bình.
This result helped the Capital team consolidate their top spot with 17 points, three points ahead of the second-placed CAHN, who have played one more match.
