On the morning of October 19, the Ministry of Public Security held the groundbreaking ceremony for the PVF Stadium, which will have a seating capacity of 60,000 and feature the most advanced dome technology in Vietnam, leading globally.
This stadium is located within the PVF Youth Football Training Center in Nghia Tru commune, Hung Yen province, with the Ministry of Public Security as the investor and Vinhomes Joint Stock Company, part of Vingroup Group, as the general contractor.
The PVF Stadium spans over 55,000 square meters, accommodating 60,000 spectators, comprising four main stands A, B, C, and D, along with specialized areas such as technical zones, security, broadcasting control center, press area, player zones, VIP sections, and food and beverage services. Additionally, the stadium features an outdoor plaza and a modern 18-hectare parking lot. Notably, it is designed to FIFA standards, qualifying it to host World Cup matches and regional tournaments.
Significantly, this is the first stadium in Vietnam equipped with a modern automatic retractable roof modeled after the AT&T Stadium (USA) — currently the world's largest retractable roof stadium. A standout feature of the PVF Stadium is its massive dome roof that can fully open or close within approximately 12 to 20 minutes, a technology being applied for the first time in Vietnam.
Meanwhile, the playing surface uses hybrid modular turf technology—a combination of natural grass and synthetic fibers—enhancing durability, quick drainage, high load resistance, and easy maintenance. Each turf panel can be independently removed, replaced, or relocated, allowing the field to be flexibly adapted for professional sports competitions as well as national and international cultural and social events.
The stadium is equipped with large LED screens and modern sound and lighting systems to support live broadcasts, providing a vivid visual experience for spectators.
