HAGL faces harsh realities in the V-League

After the first 6 rounds of the 2025-2026 V-League season, HAGL club sits firmly at the bottom of the standings with 3 draws, 3 losses, and only a single goal scored. This outcome is the direct consequence of the extremely youth-focused approach adopted by the club’s leadership.

At the end of the 2024/25 season, chairman Bầu Đức and technical director Vũ Tiến Thành sold nearly all the star players, including veterans such as Minh Vương, Châu Ngọc Quang, Văn Sơn, and even promising young key players like Quang Nho, Lý Đức, and Bảo Toàn.

What remained was a squad of inexperienced young players, a handful of foreign players, and underperforming overseas Vietnamese athletes.
