The 16 teams that secured their spots in the 2026 AFC Futsal Championship finals have been confirmed.
On the evening of October 23, the final matches of Group D in the 2026 AFC Futsal Championship qualifiers concluded, with the qualifying spots going to the Iraq futsal team (group winner) and Saudi Arabia (runner-up). Specifically, Iraq moved to the top of Group D after a 2-1 victory over Saudi Arabia, finishing the campaign with a perfect record of three wins. Saudi Arabia also advanced as one of the seven best second-placed teams.
Thus, the 16 teams qualified for the 2026 AFC Futsal Championship finals include: Australia (Group A winner), Thailand (Group B), four-time champions Japan (Group C), Vietnam (Group E), Kyrgyz Republic (Group F), reigning champions and 13-time winners Iran (Group G), Afghanistan (Group H), and host Indonesia.
Six other teams advanced by earning one of the best runner-up spots: Kuwait (Group A), South Korea (Group B), Tajikistan (Group C), Lebanon (Group E), Uzbekistan (Group F), and Malaysia (Group G).
The group draw ceremony will be held on November 5. Meanwhile, the 2026 AFC Futsal Championship in Indonesia is scheduled to take place from January 27 to February 7, 2026.
