A 1.92m tall overseas Vietnamese shines right in his debut match

Scoring in his debut, 19-year-old center-back Zan Nguyễn led TP.HCM Club to a 1-0 victory against Long An, proving his promise as a new talent in Vietnam’s football scene.

Young defender Zan Nguyễn had a flawless debut for TP.HCM Club by netting the only goal in a 1-0 win over Long An during the 2025 National First Division. In his very first match, the 2006-born player not only made a mark with his crucial goal but also impressed with his mature and confident style of play beyond his 19 years.

Born in the United States to a Vietnamese father and an American mother, Zan Nguyễn boasts an outstanding physique standing at 1.92m, which gives him a clear advantage in aerial duels and one-on-one battles. Zan Nguyễn attracted attention when he joined TP.HCM Club (formerly Công an TP.HCM) in 2024 at just 18 years old.
