Because he is busy coaching Ho Chi Minh City Police FC, Coach Lê Huỳnh Đức cannot personally instruct at the AFC A-License coaching course.
On the morning of October 25, 2025, the second phase of the AFC/VFF ‘A’ License Coaching Course officially commenced at Tu Do Stadium in Hue city. The course runs from October 25 to November 5, 2025, led by two Japanese experts – Mr. Koshida Takeshi, Technical Director of the Vietnam Football Federation, and Mr. Ikeguchi Yutaka, Technical Advisor for Vietnam’s National Youth Teams.
Previously, the first phase of the course was successfully held from June 9 to 22, 2025, at the PVF Youth Football Training Center with instruction from Mr. Koshida Takeshi and assistant lecturer Lê Huỳnh Đức.
In phase two, due to commitments with Ho Chi Minh City Police FC, Coach Lê Huỳnh Đức could not continue participating; instead, Mr. Ikeguchi Yutaka, a PRO-level instructor from the Japan Football Association, joined Mr. Koshida to lead the teaching duties.
To support the course, the classrooms and training fields at Hue FC were upgraded to meet the requirements for teaching and practical sessions. After two phases totaling 26 days, participants will undergo theoretical and practical exams evaluated directly by the two Japanese instructors.
Besides technical coaching content, the course also covers advanced topics such as sports psychology, physical conditioning, goalkeeping, sports science, competition laws, and sports medicine, helping coaches develop comprehensive professional skills.
Mr. Ikeguchi Yutaka, the instructor accompanying phase 2, shared: “This is my first time teaching in Vietnam. I look forward to learning more from the local coaches. Hopefully, after the rainy days, Hue will welcome new sunshine – just as this course will achieve great success.”
The second phase of the AFC/VFF ‘A’ License coaching course is not only an opportunity for Vietnamese coaches to enhance their expertise but also strengthens international cooperation in coach education, aiming for the professional and sustainable development of Vietnamese football.
