Xuân Son has delivered a message, promising to help Nam Định come back stronger in the near future.
Nam Định Club continues to "sink deeper" in the V-League after drawing 1-1 with SHB Đà Nẵng in the 8th round of the V-League on the evening of October 27. In fact, this result was considered fortunate for the defending champions as Đà Nẵng led for 75 minutes of the match. It wasn’t until the final minute that Lucas Alves shone to secure a point at Thiên Trường.
Present to watch this match, the striker Nguyễn Xuân Son could not hide his disappointment as his team kept sliding down. However, the naturalized Vietnamese player recently sent a message, hoping fans will continue to trust and support the team. On his personal page, Xuân Son shared:
"We will come back stronger, I promise. Thank you to the sincere fans who have always supported us. We still have a long journey ahead, we are the blue-shirted warriors, and we will keep fighting. Thép Xanh Nam Định FC."
According to Nam Định Club, Xuân Son has fully recovered from injury and is ready to play. However, it won’t be until round 11, when the organizers allow teams to register replacements and add players, that Son can take the field. Clearly, without Xuân Son, Nam Định’s attack lacks a sharp and inspiring weapon.
Statistics show Nam Định has only won 2 matches since the start of the season (against Hải Phòng and PVF-CAND). Meanwhile, the defending champion has lost 4 matches, including a shocking defeat to Sông Lam Nghệ An in round 2. This result leaves the Nam team with just 8 points, currently struggling in 8th place on the standings, only 2 points above the relegation zone.
In the next round, Nam Định will visit HAGL’s home ground.
