On the morning of November 1st, the first seminar in a series of five sessions (scheduled from November 2025 to March 2026, averaging one session per month) was held at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation.
This seminar is part of the 2025 activities of the VFF Sports Medicine Department, focusing on monthly training sessions about nutrition for athletes, coaching staff, and the medical team of the U14-U16 women’s teams.
Opening the discussion, Mr. Takako Yoshuyuki – Director of SHIDAX Comprehensive Research Institute – emphasized the critical role of nutrition in sports. “You are young players with careers ahead, needing a strong body to compete in tournaments. We hope you can apply the knowledge from this seminar to your daily meals to build a stronger physique,” Mr. Takako shared.
The seminar’s knowledge exchange was led by experts: Mr. Takako Yoshuyuki – Director of SHIDAX Comprehensive Research Institute, Ms. Tsuyuzaki Noriko – Sports Nutrition Specialist, and Ms. Nguyễn Ngọc Trâm Anh – Master of Nutrition from Hanoi Medical University.
Nutritional support activities for players at the Youth Football Training Center are conducted through regular thematic seminars led by Japanese and Vietnamese nutrition experts, starting from early November. The training effectiveness will be assessed by pre- and post-tests. For coaches, besides attending the seminars, experts will provide an E-learning program to enhance their understanding of sports and nutrition, which will be applied in future coaching work.
This was the first nutrition seminar focusing on the basics of athlete meals, dietary environment surveys, and sports nutrition knowledge. In subsequent monthly sessions, experts will continue teaching topics such as essential nutrients for development stages, hydration, competition diet, and issues specific to female athletes. The nutrition seminar series will conclude around March 2026.
