Balotelli unexpectedly takes a jab at the Arsenal legend

On his personal Instagram, Mario Balotelli shared two back-to-back stories criticizing Patrick Vieira, who was just fired by Genoa not long ago. This behavior is rooted in the discord between Balotelli and Vieira when they worked together at Genoa.

Mario Balotelli had a brief period working alongside Vieira at Genoa. Under the Arsenal legend’s management, the Italian player was rarely given playing time, barely starting any matches. Their relationship worsened when Vieira openly criticized Balotelli, saying his mindset was incompatible with team sports. Balotelli also publicly accused Vieira on genova24 in July, claiming his lack of playing time was due to Vieira’s personal feelings rather than professional reasons.

Regarding Balotelli, he currently remains without a club after his contract with Genoa expired in July 2025. There were rumors about him moving to leagues in North America or India, but so far, no official offers have been made to the former ‘Golden Boy’ of world football.
