Last weekend, coach Kim Sang Sik decided to summon Nguyễn Xuân Son back to the Vietnam national team for the FIFA Days training camp. This was quite surprising since the Brazil-born striker had not played any official matches yet. He only appeared briefly in a friendly match for Nam Định. However, Coach Kim and the coaching staff trusted Xuân Son’s fitness level and gave him this opportunity.
