Messi responds to Ronaldo: 'Real men shouldn't talk too much'

Lionel Messi once subtly asserted his abilities, signaling a response to his great rival Cristiano Ronaldo.

Recently, in a teaser from his latest podcast on his personal YouTube channel, Cristiano Ronaldo made a shocking statement directly targeting his archrival Lionel Messi.

Accordingly, when asked the question "People say Messi is better than you, what do you think?" by journalist Piers Morgan, the Portuguese superstar did not hesitate to declare: "Is Messi better than me? I disagree with that. I won’t pretend to be humble."

Ronaldo's assertion once again intensified the debate over the Greatest of All Time (GOAT), especially when recalling the fierce rivalry with Messi in the past.

Notably, in his documentary, Messi once made a subtle remark to affirm his own status. Specifically, the Argentine superstar revealed: ""My grandfather taught me that 'real men shouldn’t talk much about themselves'."

Messi’s above statement came right after he led Argentina to win the 2022 World Cup, the first golden trophy in the illustrious career of the 1987-born superstar. This is also the only major title Ronaldo has yet to claim in his extensive collection, which somewhat confirms Messi’s reluctance to make a big fuss in the GOAT debate with CR7.
