Current Premier League title holders Liverpool were defeated 3-0 by Manchester City over the weekend and now trail early leaders Arsenal by eight points, who despite a 2-2 draw with Sunderland, appear set to claim their first league crown since 2003.
Following defeats to Galatasaray, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Crystal Palace, Slot’s team recovered with wins against Frankfurt, Aston Villa, and Real Madrid. After heavy criticism, supporters rallied behind Slot as the team secured two consecutive clean sheets, indicating a revival.

Still, the loss to City has caused fickle fans to turn against the Dutch coach again, with many thinking he could be dismissed if performances don’t improve.
'Enough, stop this'
Recently, speaking toAdventureGamers.com, Wesley Sneijder argues the criticism is unfair and that Slot deserves more time to reverse the situation.
“It’s strange. Just a few months ago, he was Liverpool’s king. He was the manager who made you forget all the previous ones, even Jurgen Klopp,"Sneijder remarked.
“After only four weeks, people say he wants to turn Liverpool into Feyenoord; that he no longer wins games at the last minute. They say he’s unlucky.
“Come on. Stop this. He remains an excellent coach. What he achieved in his first season was remarkable. He needed to adapt too, and he did so quickly, bringing his own style to the club and the team.”
The Reds suffered their fifth defeat in 11 Premier League matches, with goals from Erling Haaland, Nico Gonzalez, and Jeremy Doku pushing them down to eighth place.
As the team heads into the international break, Slot must find answers and adapt as Sneijder advises, or else bid farewell to his title ambitions.
