Vietnamese Golden Ball winner Nguyễn Hoàng Đức expressed admiration and support for his younger teammate Nguyễn Đình Bắc following his achievement of the top award.
The competition for the 2025 Vietnamese Golden Ball between midfielder Nguyễn Hoàng Đức and young striker Nguyễn Đình Bắc concluded on the evening of December 26. Specifically, with 353 points earned, Hoàng Đức officially secured his third time winning the most prestigious award. Đình Bắc, with 278 points, claimed the Silver Ball after an impressive performance throughout 2025.
After the ceremony ended, Hoàng Đức shared sincere words for his junior on the national team. The player born in 1998 stated: "Đình Bắc is a very promising young player. This year, he and the Vietnam U22 team performed excellently at the Southeast Asian U23 Championship and the 33rd SEA Games. I also wish him and the U22 team continued success at the upcoming Asian Championship finals.”
In fact, before the results were announced, Đình Bắc was the name receiving significant public support. However, according to the official results, Hoàng Đức’s score was still clearly superior to Đình Bắc’s (by nearly 100 points). This highlights Hoàng Đức’s outstanding performance as he led Ninh Bình to win the First Division and currently tops the V-League this season, earning high praise from experts.
Meanwhile, Đình Bắc only receiving the Silver Ball may be due to a tendency to favor more experienced senior players with national team achievements over youth players among the voters.
As for Đình Bắc, from Qatar, he expressed happiness upon receiving the award. He also thanked the SLNA academy, Quảng Nam Club, Hanoi Police Club, the Vietnam Football Federation, the coaching staff of the U22/U23 and national teams. Most importantly, the striker born in 2004 showed gratitude to the fans who have followed him and the teams throughout the remarkable 2025 journey.
