Brazilian midfielder Emerson Souza has officially parted ways with SHB Đà Nẵng after two seasons, concluding his 26 appearances for the Han River club.
SHB Đà Nẵng club recently announced the official departure of midfielder Emerson Souza, marking the end of over two years of association between the Brazilian player and the Han River club.
On their official website, the club posted a brief but heartfelt message of gratitude: “Thank you to midfielder Emerson Souza for his perseverance, professional spirit, and significant contributions throughout his time with the club. We wish him good health and success in his future endeavors.”
Emerson Souza joined SHB Đà Nẵng in the 2024/25 season as one of the foreign signings expected to strengthen the midfield of the orange-shirted team. With strong fitness and competitive ability, Emerson was considered a good fit for SHB Đà Nẵng’s physically intense playing style.
During his two seasons with the Han River club, the Brazilian midfielder played 26 matches in the V-League. In the 2025–2026 season, he appeared in 11 games, mainly as a central midfielder. Although he showed effort and maintained consistent form, Emerson did not leave a remarkable impact on the team’s overall play.
The departure of Emerson comes as SHB Đà Nẵng prepares for the second phase of the season, aiming to improve their standing on the league table. This move is also seen as part of a squad adjustment plan to provide the team with better options for the remainder of the V-League.
Throughout his time in Vietnam, Emerson Souza was regarded as a player with a professional training attitude and serious competitive spirit. His exit closes a chapter of dedicated cooperation between the Brazilian athlete and SHB Đà Nẵng club.
