On the afternoon of January 6th, the Organizing Committee of the National U19 Women's Football Championship – Acecook Cup 2026 conducted a technical meeting prior to the tournament's commencement.
Attending the meeting were Ms. Nguyễn Thanh Hà – Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Head of the Organizing Committee; supervisors; representatives from the Organizing Committee; and the U19 women's teams.
In her speech at the meeting, Ms. Nguyễn Thanh Hà extended New Year greetings to the participants and emphasized that in 2025, Vietnamese football achieved very positive results with seven teams qualifying for the Asian Championship finals, including the U17 and U20 women's teams of Vietnam.
This achievement was significantly contributed to by youth teams through tournaments such as the National U16 and U19 women's championships. Ms. Nguyễn Thanh Hà affirmed that the National U19 Women's Football Championship plays a vital role in the VFF's competition system, serving as a platform for teams and young players to gain experience, compete, and showcase their abilities.
Through this tournament, the technical committee will have a stronger basis to select and reinforce the national women's teams, aiming to prepare for the upcoming U17 and U20 women's Asian Championship finals. Concluding her speech, Ms. Nguyễn Thanh Hà wished all teams to compete with unity, honesty, and achieve the best results.
The National U19 Women's Football Championship – Acecook Cup 2026 includes five teams: Phong Phú Hà Nam, Ho Chi Minh City, Thái Nguyên T&T, Hà Nội, and Than Khoáng sản Việt Nam. The competition will follow a double round-robin format (home and away matches). Specifically, the first leg will take place from January 7th to 20th, 2026 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center; the second leg will be held from January 27th to February 7th, 2026 at Hà Nam Stadium (Ninh Bình province).
Tomorrow (January 7th), the opening matches and the opening ceremony will be held at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center with the following fixtures: Hà Nội vs. Phong Phú Hà Nam (3:30 PM); Ho Chi Minh City vs. Thái Nguyên T&T (6:00 PM).
