Midfielder Khoa Ngo stood out right away in his debut training session wearing the Ho Chi Minh City Police FC jersey.
During the training session on the afternoon of January 6 at the headquarters of Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club, Khoa Ngo fully absorbed the training plan set by coach Lê Huỳnh Đức. The 2006-born midfielder demonstrated quick adaptation alongside his new teammates after just a few days with the team.
After signing the contract, on the afternoon of January 4, the Australian-Vietnamese midfielder traveled to Bà Rịa and had an introduction session with the coaching staff and teammates where the Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club is currently holding their training camp.
Before starting the training, the 2006-born midfielder was introduced to the team by the club’s management. On behalf of the whole squad, captain Tiến Linh presented flowers to congratulate him and, along with coach Lê Huỳnh Đức, extended their best wishes to Khoa Ngo.
However, during the friendly match of Ho Chi Minh City FC, Khoa Ngo did not play but observed his teammates on the field. Later, back at the club’s headquarters, the Australian-Vietnamese midfielder had his first practice session, impressing everyone with his refined individual skills.
Khoa Ngo, whose Vietnamese name is Ngô Đăng Khoa, was born in 2006 and holds Australian nationality, with both parents being Vietnamese. Before joining Ho Chi Minh City Police FC, Khoa Ngo played for Perth Glory in the Australian A-League and was the first Vietnamese-origin player to compete in Australia’s top football league.
In the 2025/2026 season, Khoa Ngo appeared six times for Perth Glory in the A-League and scored his first goal in Australia’s premier football competition. Playing primarily as an attacking midfielder with great speed, Khoa Ngo is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the playing style of Ho Chi Minh City Police FC.
