Khoa Ngô and Lee Williams are developing into a well-coordinated Vietnamese overseas pair in CA Ho Chi Minh City's practices.
They often take the initiative to chat with senior players like Tiến Linh, Văn Lắm, Le Giang, Đức Phú, Ngọc Long, and Văn Bình... In recent training sessions, Khoa Ngô has begun to "click" with his Vietnamese overseas teammate Williams Lee on the training field. Midfielder Khoa Ngô displays confidence, agility, and quickly grasps the coaching staff’s game plans at the Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club during recent practices.
Not only does he actively converse with foreign players in English, but the 2006-born midfielder also shows fluency in Vietnamese, thanks to both his mother and father being Vietnamese. Therefore, within less than a week of training, Khoa Ngô has been speaking Vietnamese fluently with Williams Lee.
During the afternoon training on January 7 at the CA Ho Chi Minh City Football Club's "headquarters," Khoa Ngô enthusiastically applauded and encouraged Williams Lee after a competitive drill. Noticing his teammate’s support, Williams Lee responded with a friendly smile to Khoa Ngô.
Coach Lê Huỳnh Đức allowed the players to rest and hydrate on the spot, during which Khoa Ngô took the initiative to speak Vietnamese with Williams."Are you feeling well? Are you okay?"Khoa Ngô asked. Williams Lee replied,"I’m fine, very well indeed." The two exchanged cheerful smiles and then turned toward the press photographers covering the training session. The 2006-born midfielder is noted for his speed and skillful dribbling... a teammate of Khoa Ngô commented after the practice.
Khoa Ngô and Williams Lee posed amicably for photos after the team’s training. Hopefully, they will become key players driving the CA Ho Chi Minh City Football Club’s explosive performance in the remaining season.
The CA Ho Chi Minh City Football Club has officially launched its first northern trip of 2026, marking an important preparation phase for the remainder of the 2025/26 season. On the morning of January 8, under coach Lê Huỳnh Đức, the team departed Ho Chi Minh City for northern training and planned friendly matches against three familiar V.League opponents: Ninh Bình FC, Thép Xanh Nam Định, and Hải Phòng FC.
One of the most notable highlights of this trip is the opportunity for midfielder Vietnamese overseas player Khoa Ngô to compete against Hoàng Đứcwhen CA Ho Chi Minh City FC plays a friendly against Ninh Bình FC. The encounter between these two midfielders, both highly regarded for their technique and football intelligence, promises to be exciting, even though it is just a friendly match.
