Vietnam’s CLB trials Argentine midfielder with South American experience

SHB Đà Nẵng is currently trialing attacking midfielder Joel López Pissano, a former BG Pathum United player, who is expected to be the solution to replace Emmerson due to his experience and creativity in midfield.

The Argentine attacking midfielder Joel López Pissano is drawing attention as he arrives in Đà Nẵng and officially begins his trial period with SHB Đà Nẵng, amid the club’s search for an Emmerson replacement in the second half of the season.

According to reports, Joel López Pissano is already in Đà Nẵng to get familiar with the living environment and train with SHB Đà Nẵng. Notably, the midfielder born in 1997 was given a chance by the coaching staff to play in a friendly match against Hải Phòng, where he initially demonstrated his skills to the coaches.

Joel López Pissano, born on January 6, 1997, in Rosario, Argentina, stands about 1.80m tall and weighs 73 kg. He primarily plays as an attacking midfielder, wearing number 10 and is right-footed. He is regarded as a player with technical skills, creative thinking, and playmaking abilities—qualities SHB Đà Nẵng highly needs to boost their midfield attack.

López Pissano’s career began at the Rosario Central academy. In 2018, he was promoted to the first team and made over 18 appearances in Argentina’s top league. Afterwards, he chose to gain experience across several South American countries. He played for Emelec (Ecuador), Orense SC, Atlético Grau (Peru), where he impressed with around 10 goals in the 2022 season before joining Sport Boys and Gualberto Villarroel San José (Bolivia).

In Bolivia, López Pissano contributed goals and assists in the domestic league and also made an impact in the 2025 Copa Sudamericana. From 2025, he moved to Asia to join BG Pathum United, wearing number 10 in Thai League 1. According to Transfermarkt, his estimated market value is around 500,000 Euros, frequently earning high ratings due to his creative role in the team’s play.

Joel López Pissano’s participation in the friendly match against Hải Phòng indicates SHB Đà Nẵng is seriously assessing the Argentine midfielder’s ability to integrate and contribute practically. If he meets the professional requirements, López Pissano could become the new “playmaker” for the Đà Nẵng club, offering an experienced and creative midfield option for the remainder of the season.
