Extremely rare overseas Vietnamese and Xuan Son bring good news to coach Kim Sang Sik

The 2026 New Year friendly match between Thep Xanh Nam Dinh Club and Ho Chi Minh City Police Club brought encouraging signals with Khoa Ngo and Xuan Son making their mark by scoring important goals.

In this match, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh demonstrated efficiency in finishing by scoring 4 goals credited to Lam Ti Phong, Xuan Son, Romulo, and Van Vi. On the other side, Ho Chi Minh City Police also showed highlights with two goals from Tien Linh and Khoa Ngo, especially Khoa Ngo’s goal which was notably significant as this overseas Vietnamese midfielder recently joined the V. Earlier, on the morning of January 8, the team traveled to Ninh Binh and stayed in the ancient capital Hoa Lu to prepare for a series of friendlies against strong opponents like Ninh Binh, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh, and Hai Phong.

The goal of this training camp was nothing but to improve fitness, refine skills, and review personnel, especially new faces like Minh Trong and Khoa Ngo. Meanwhile, Xuan Son continued to attract attention by scoring for Thep Xanh Nam Dinh, extending his impressive form since returning from injury. His goal against Ho Chi Minh City Police was not only important technically but also a continuation of the determined messages the forward born in 1997 sent right at the start of 2026.

After the match with Thep Xanh Nam Dinh, Ho Chi Minh City Police will continue traveling to Hai Phong for a friendly at Lach Tray Stadium.
